What’s there to do in the County? Plenty!
For outdoor enthusiasts, the County offers all the classic Canadian activities: in the winter, try skating, snowshoeing, tobogganing or cross country skiing; in the summer, swim, cycle or enjoy time on the water. Fancy a walk? The 46-km Millennium Trail is easily accessible from your accommodations or take a short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park and walk along the beautiful shore. The Waring House also has an onsite spa and plenty of cozy spots to curl up with a good book.
Downtown Picton is just a few minutes away, offering a quaint small town experience with unique shops, pretty views and plenty of charm. Eat lunch in the Barley Room Pub or ask for a packed picnic lunch to enjoy on your guided wine tour of Prince Edward County. The tour is customizable and your guide can also take you to an artisan studio or brewery if you wish.
On Saturday evening, enjoy a three-course dinner with wine tasting at the onsite Amelia’s Garden Restaurant. You can take in another live performance at the Pub post-dinner. After breakfast on Sunday morning, you’ll enjoy a hands-on cookery school class with the school chef — guaranteed to be a fun and entertaining experience.
