Today we are in a boat on the mighty Mackenzie River, one of the longest rivers in the world! We will boat from Fort Providence to the tiny Indigenous community of Jean Marie River for lunch. After lunch, it's back in the boat and on the river again. Continuing on after a stop at a traditional Indigenous gathering spot we arrive at Fort Simpson (pop. 1250), a fur trading community established almost 200 years ago in the afternoon. After checking into your comfortable B&B, we will visit with a local Indigenous family for a delicious traditional cookout dinner and listen to stories about our Indigenous culture and the old days.

After an incredible visit to the Falls, it’s back on the floatplane for a short flight to another spectacular place, Glacier Lake, home of the impressive Cirque De Unclimables, and then if that wasn’t enough, you’re off to one of the most scenic and relaxing spots in the entire Nahanni National Park, Little Doctor Lake, this place is heaven on Earth, wait until you see it! What a day!!
