Itinerary/Overview

Located just an hour and a half north of Vancouver, Whistler is easily accessible on the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway. The lively village is tucked away at the base of the impressive Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

This excursion includes transportation from Vancouver airport and five nights accommodations in the pedestrian-only village, where you can delight in the many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Nothing beats walking through the village, with mountains as the backdrop, as snow gently falls around you. Enjoy its legendary après-ski scene even if you don’t enjoy heading out on the slopes. Everything is accessible on foot and the village is particularly scenic in the glow of the evening light.

For those looking for more refined accommodation upgrade to the 4-star Delta Whistler Village Suites or the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

During the day, you’ll be treated to four exhilarating activities that help you to safely explore the vast and rugged Whistler backcountry. Your activities can be scheduled on any of the days and include:

Snowmobiling: The vast Whistler backcountry is a delight of old-growth forests and stunning mountain vistas, but it takes work to get there. On this adventure, your expert guide will show you how to access the most scenic parts on snowmobile. You’ll ride through snow-covered evergreens to impressive lookout spots that give you sweeping views of the surrounding mountainous terrain.

Snowshoeing: Slow down and smell the fresh mountain air as you strap on snowshoes and head out into the old-growth forests in Whistler. Your excursion begins with a scenic gondola ride up Whistler Mountain. You’ll then get the opportunity to snowshoe on freshly fallen snow through pristine wilderness. Look out for the many birds that call this forest home – you might even get a chance to have one land on your hand for some delicious treats. The serene tour also includes access to some fun snow slides.

Dogsledding: A real Canadian experience. Let your eager and powerful dog team lead you into the magnificent old growth forest of the Callaghan Valley. Join your professional musher in harnessing and staging the dogs, learn the commands and feel the thrill of driving your own team. Relax with your family as you ride a mellow mix of open and winding trails for an unforgettable winter journey, with plenty of photo opportunities.
