Welcome Aboard Rocky Mountaineer

Three routes take you through the mountains, valleys and epic landscapes of Alberta and British Columbia on the most luxurious sightseeing train in the world.

Travel the rails during the day & sleep in a hotel at night.

Award-winning Rocky Mountaineer is a luxury sightseeing train that takes guests through some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.

Interspersed with rich storytelling by the onboard Hosts and delicious food cooked by chefs in the train kitchens, these exceptional journeys are in a class of their own.

April Psiharis, a Senior Travel Professional with Landsby, had a chance to experience Rocky Mountaineer in the spring of 2023 and was blown away by the level of service she received.

"Rocky Mountaineer rolls out the red carpet to welcome guests onboard," she said. "The attention to detail is superb and really made me feel like I was on a once-in-a-lifetime journey. The scenery, of course, was incredible, but it was the impeccable service and quality of the food that made this experience really stand out."

Choose from GoldLeaf Service or SilverLeaf Service (outlined below) and from three Canadian routes that take you through the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

GoldLeaf Service

Guests travelling with in GoldLeaf Service on Rocky Mountaineer are welcomed aboard a bi-level glass dome coach.

The top level offers spacious seats and expansive views through the panoramic windows. The lower level houses an outdoor viewing platform and a dining area where chef-prepared meals are served.

SilverLeaf Service

Guests who join Rocky Mountaineer in the SilverLeaf Service travel in custom-designed glass-dome coaches that feature oversized windows and comfortable reclining seats.

Meals, drinks and snacks are served at your seat so you don't miss a minute of the ever-changing scenery. An outdoor viewing area is also available.

The Food

Guests aboard Rocky Mountaineer are served a leisurely breakfast, a gourmet lunch and snacks throughout the day. A full culinary team is onboard, creating restaurant-worthy dishes in the confines of a train kitchen. The focus of the cuisine is fresh, locally inspired and delicious.

Warm up with a cup of coffee as you watch the sun come up over a river valley and wind down with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the mountains. Complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are served throughout the trip in both SilverLeaf Service and GoldLeaf Service.

The Routes

Rocky Mountaineer's luxury sightseeing train operates in British Columbia and Alberta, and, as its name suggests, it traverses the Rocky Mountains. There are three Canadian routes from which to choose (or you can combine them for a longer circle tour).
