Eastern Canada City Stay: Toronto and Montreal

Day 1: Arrive in Toronto
Welcome to Toronto! Upon arrival at Pearson International Airport, make your own way to your downtown Toronto hotel. After settling in, head out to explore the dynamic city. Enjoy an evening by the waterfront (there are several restaurants that look out over the harbour) or head out for a drink on a patio.

Day 2-3: Explore Toronto
Enjoy two full days in Toronto, Canada’s largest city. Toronto offers a vast array of museums and galleries, interesting ethnic neighbourhoods, a beautiful waterfront to explore on land or water and excellent shopping at the Eaton Centre or in Yorkville.

Alternatively, you can also take one day to visit Niagara Falls on a Full Day Niagara Tour. Sit back and relax aboard your coach as your expert guide will inform you of the sights of Southern Ontario. First stop is the Whirlpool rapids followed by the Niagara City Cruise to the base of Horseshoe Falls before your lunch stop with more views of the Falls. Then you’ll visit the Table Rock Complex, for another different view of the Falls, where you have some free time to explore at your leisure.

After exploring the Falls, it’s time to head to the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. You’ll have free time to soak up the history of the town before a visit to a local winery and then returning to your Toronto hotel for another evening in the city.

Day 4: Toronto to Montreal
Make your own way to the Union Station to board your VIA Rail train to Montreal.

Sit back and enjoy a scenic 4.5 hour rail journey through Canada’s heartland. Upon arrival in Montreal transfer independently by taxi to your hotel and enjoy an evening in the city.

Day 5-6: Montreal
Free days to explore Montreal, the second largest French speaking city in the world.

The city is renowned for its fine restaurants, excellent shopping, lively nightlife, rich culture and history. You’ll enjoy a 1.5-hour tour of Old Montreal’s eastern sector where you’ll stroll

through the charming cobblestone streets and winding alleys of this historical district. Sites include Notre-Dame Basilica (including interior visit), Cours le Royer, St-Paul Street, Place Jacques-Cartier, City Hall, Bonsecours street and its chapel, ending at Bonsecours Market.

You may also wish to opt into taking a 90-min cruise in Montreal to see the city from a whole new angle. Come aboard the Cavalier Maxim and relive a page of history with the famous explorer Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve who will fascinate you with his anecdotes and historical facts.

Day 7: Montreal
Enjoy some last free time and make your own way to the Montreal airport for the return flight.
