Itinerary/Overview

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN WHITEHORSE

Upon arrival in Whitehorse, take a shuttle to your hotel to check in and settle into your northern accommodations. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time to add a tour and visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. Spend the rest of the day fitting winter clothing (if renting, optional), shopping, and enjoying dinner on your own.

DAY 2–4: EXPLORE DAWSON CITY

Your Dawson adventure begins with a very scenic flight from Whitehorse on Air North. Right away you will know you are in for something special as you soar over the frozen and rugged northern landscape.

Upon arrival you will be transported to your accommodation for the next 3 nights. Dawson is a walkable city full of eclectic charm and quirky character. While the town sees plenty of tourists in the summer, you’ll find it quiet and authentic in the winter months. Stroll the cool boardwalk streets with old facades that will have you believing you’ve stepped back in time to the Gold Rush era. Keep your camera handy at all times as there are plenty of photo opportunities around town.

The next 4 days allow you time to visit the must see and the more remote places around Dawson. Included are two guide opportunities to view the Aurora Borealis at night at an intimate viewing site in West Dawson. Dive into Dawson’s history with a city and Dome tour, visit to Dawson City Museum and Parks Canada Walking Tour.

To fill your days, perhaps you would like to try your hand at snowmobiling or you can join a guided day tour along the famous Dempster Highway to see Tombstone Territorial Park.

DAY 5: RETURN TO WHITEHORSE

Today it's time to say goodbye to Dawson. You’ll have some time today to take one last look around the historic streets of Dawson City. In the afternoon we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport where you will catch your flight back to Whitehorse. Tonight you will enjoy one last night of free time in the Yukon's capital. If you wish you could head out for one last aurora tour (additional charge) for another chance to view the Northern Lights.
