Itinerary/Overview

Day 1:
Depart Vancouver on a scenic afternoon flight over the mountains to Whitehorse. You’ll pick up your car at the airport and head to your accommodations at the unique eco-cabins at The Black Spruce. You will stay in a fully contained, passive solar cabin made from rough cut local Yukon spruce located just a few minutes’ drive to all the best restaurants, bars and attractions in Whitehorse. Modelled after the famous Juvet Landscape Hotel in Norway, these are one-of-a-kind accommodations with an environmental focus and an onsite wood-fired sauna – the perfect place to recover and relax after a full day of skiing.

In the evening, you can drive a few kilometres outside of town for the best view of the Northern Lights.

Day 2:
Enjoy breakfast in your cabin before driving south through the scenic Northern Coast Mountains to Tiny Town – the seasonal “town” set up to allow access to some of the most pristine ski hills in the world. The scenic drive takes approximately 90 minutes.

While you are now technically in British Columbia, this territory is where the Yukon intersects with BC and Alaska, a beautiful oasis of vast mountains and beautiful wilderness.

The 3600 square km tenure includes all kinds of terrain, from steep slopes to long consistent glaciers and everything in between. With over 150 750m-1200m established runs there’s something for skiers of intermediate abilities and up.

After a heli-skiing briefing and avalanche safety talk, you will be on your way up the mountain by helicopter to start your ski day. Your package includes a vertical guarantee of 3,600 metres per day. A gourmet packed lunch is included.

Stay for an optional apres-ski at Tiny Town before heading back to Whitehorse. Enjoy dinner at one of the cool local restaurants and take in a sauna at your accommodation.

Day 3:
Head to Tiny Town for another full day of epic skiing. The benefit of being in a remote location like Tiny Town is that the flight times from ground up to the top of the runs is minimal, so time on the fresh powder is maximised. The northern coastal location of Tiny Town means it gets lots of snow to play in but with the cool temperatures needed for excellent powder skiing.

Spend another great evening enjoying vibrant Whitehorse and if you are up for another drive, head out of town for some Aurora Borealis viewing. If the Aurora activity is strong, you might even get to experience it from the city.

Day 4:
Take the day to rest and relax in Whitehorse. Explore the city’s historic sites, shop for some eclectic souvenirs and spend an afternoon soaking up the health benefits at the Eclipse Hot Springs. After two days of incredible skiing, your body will love the relaxation rooms and natural warmth of the healing water.

If time allows, we also recommend a visit to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, which is located close to the hot springs. You can join a bus tour through the preserve or rent kick sleds for a unique way to get around and see the iconic Canadian animals.

Day 5:
Return your rental car at the airport before boarding your flight home.
