Walk the historic streets of Lunenburg, explore the Bay of Fundy coast, taste your way through PEI, and drive the Cabot Trail through the Cape Breton Highlands. DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HALIFAX
Arrive in Halifax and settle into your hotel close to the harbour. Depending on your arrival time, head to the waterfront for a walk along the boardwalk, browse the shops and restaurants downtown, or visit the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 or the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. The rest of the day is yours to explore or simply settle in before heading out on the road.

DAY 2: HALIFAX & LUNENBURG
Travel along Nova Scotia’s South Shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its remarkably preserved colonial town plan. Spend time along the working waterfront and explore the compact streets lined with colourful wooden buildings, shops, galleries, and restaurants. Learn about the town’s long relationship with fishing and shipbuilding before returning toward Halifax.

DAY 3: WOLFVILLE, GRAND-PRÉ & NOVA SCOTIA WINE COUNTRY
Drive into the Annapolis Valley, where farmland and vineyards stretch toward the Bay of Fundy. Visit the Landscape of Grand Pré UNESCO World Heritage Site, which tells the story of Acadian settlement and the dykelands created along the coast. Continue to Wolfville and the surrounding wine region, home to producers of Tidal Bay, Nova Scotia’s signature wine appellation, with time to enjoy the area’s food and rural landscapes.

DAY 4: CROSS THE BAY OF FUNDY
Continue west to Digby, a fishing community particularly well known for its scallops. From here, board the ferry across the Bay of Fundy to Saint John, New Brunswick. After arriving, settle into your hotel and spend the evening exploring Uptown Saint John, where historic brick buildings, restaurants, shops, and the Saint John City Market are within easy walking distance.

DAY 5: ST. ANDREWS & MINISTERS ISLAND
Head to St. Andrews for a day along the Bay of Fundy. Take to the water on a whale-watching excursion, keeping watch for the marine life that feeds in the bay during the summer season. Later, time your visit to Ministers Island with the tides. At low tide, a natural gravel bar emerges from the sea, providing road access to the island and the former summer estate of railway builder Sir William Van Horne.

DAY 6: ALONG THE FUNDY COAST
Follow the Bay of Fundy east toward Moncton, beginning with a guided e-bike ride along the Fundy Trail Parkway. At low tide, walk on the ocean floor beneath the distinctive sandstone formations; at high tide, seawater surrounds their bases. Continue to Moncton for the evening.

DAY 7: CROSS TO PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
Leave New Brunswick and cross the 12.9-kilometre Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island. Red soil, farmland, small communities, and coastal views begin to replace the forested landscapes of the mainland as you make your way toward Charlottetown. Spend the remainder of the day exploring the provincial capital, with its walkable historic centre, waterfront, shops, and restaurants.

DAY 8: TASTE PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
Spend the day learning about PEI through the people who grow, harvest, and prepare its food. Depending on your selected experience, explore Charlottetown on a guided food tour, visit an oyster farm to learn about the Island’s aquaculture industry, or meet a local potato farmer for a closer look at PEI’s red soil and one of its best-known crops.

DAY 9: PEI NATIONAL PARK & THE FIREWORKS FEAST
Head to the north shore for a day in Prince Edward Island National Park, where beaches, dunes, wetlands, and red sandstone coastline stretch along the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Walk the boardwalks, cycle, swim, or spend time on the beach. In the evening, sit down to the FireWorks Feast, a multi-course dining experience built around live-fire cooking and ingredients sourced from the property’s farm and regional producers.

DAY 10: PEI TO CAPE BRETON
Take the ferry back to Nova Scotia and continue north to Cape Breton Island. DAY 11: DRIVE THE CABOT TRAIL
Set out along the Cabot Trail, following the road through coastal communities and into Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The road climbs through forested highlands before dropping toward the coast, with expansive views over the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Atlantic Ocean as you continue toward Ingonish.

DAY 12: CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDS NATIONAL PARK
With no major driving route to complete today, spend a full day exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Choose from short coastal walks and longer hiking trails, stop at beaches and lookoffs, or explore the area around Ingonish. Having the day open gives you the flexibility to choose activities based on the weather, trail conditions, and how active you feel like being.

DAY 13: RETURN TO HALIFAX
Leave Cape Breton and make your way back to Halifax. Take your time on the drive and stop along the route as your schedule allows. Once back in the city, enjoy a final evening along the harbour or head out for dinner before your journey home.
