DAY 1: WELCOME TO WINNIPEG

Arrive in Winnipeg and settle in for a relaxing evening. Later, connect with fellow adventurers during an orientation dinner, setting the stage for the incredible journey ahead.

DAY 2: WINNIPEG TO CHURCHILL TO THE LODGE

Begin the day with a flight to Churchill, where a friendly guide awaits to usher you to the next leg of the journey. A breathtaking aerial transfer along the Hudson Bay coast leads to the Seal River Heritage Lodge, offering the first glimpses of whales, birds, and the majestic Ice Bears from above. After settling into the comfortable lodge and receiving a thorough orientation on polar bear country etiquette, embark on a captivating afternoon excursion along the coast, perfect for capturing initial wildlife photographs. The day concludes with a delightful appetizer hour and a signature meal, followed by an insightful evening lecture from a Churchill Wild expert.

DAY 3-6: TUNDRA TREKKING, POLAR BEARS AND PRICELESS PHOTOGRAPHY

Each day unfolds with thrilling opportunities for discovery, beginning with either a marine tour or an invigorating hike after a hearty breakfast. Lunches are typically enjoyed back at the lodge, though some excursions might lead to a unique ATV adventure further along the coast. Marine tours are thoughtfully scheduled to align with the tides, ensuring optimal whale-watching experiences. As evening approaches, share the day’s exciting moments during appetizer hour before indulging in another exquisite dinner and an engaging presentation. The night offers the chance for a truly unforgettable encounter, as the lodge area is monitored for any nocturnal visits from polar bears or even the mesmerizing northern lights.

DAY 7: CHURCHILL TIME!

Savor one last delicious breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a scenic aerial transfer back to Churchill, providing more incredible photographic opportunities from above. Spend the day immersed in Churchill's rich history, exploring fascinating sites like the Parks Canada exhibit, the Itsanitaq Museum, and the famous Polar Bear Jail. Admire the vibrant murals commissioned as part of the SeaWalls mural festival, then enjoy some free time to browse for unique souvenirs. A delightful group dinner precedes the evening flight south, bringing the adventure to a comfortable close back at The Grand Hotel in Winnipeg.

Pricing Details

  • Rates are based on double occupancy
  • The single occupancy rate guarantees a private room at the Lodge as well as at the hotels required within the package. Single guests can sign up to share a room with another person of the same gender at the regular rate per person based on double occupancy
  • This tour is subject to availability at time of booking
  • A $3000 per person non-refundable deposit is required, with the remaining non-refundable balance due 90 days prior to arrival

IMPORTANT IMFORMATION:

  • Age Requirement: The minimum age is 8
  • Group Size: Tours have a maximum of 16 guests
  • Seal River has eight, double guestrooms in a quiet guest wing, each with an en-suite bathroom
  • Average temperatures during this period range from 7°C to 17°C (45°F to 63°F)
  • *The equipment provided at the Lodge (rain gear, rubber boots, and gear for use during marine excursions) is designed to fit guests from child to adult. Boot sizes larger than a men’s size 13 or very small child sizes are considered custom and are not provided. Additionally, guests over 6’4” may need to bring their own gear, as clothing sizes to fit may not be available
