Throughout your stay at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge, you will benefit from the expertise of professional wilderness and wildlife guides, ensuring safe and insightful exploration. Your all-inclusive package includes three gourmet meals per day, with savoury and sweet snacks available anytime, featuring locally sourced ingredients. Complimentary access to lodge amenities such as the private wildlife viewing platform, hot tub, cedar sauna, and fitness center will enhance your comfort and relaxation amidst the stunning natural surroundings. Adventure equipment like binoculars, rain gear, and more is also provided for your excursions. While this package is based on a small group itinerary, you can also arrange a fully private and customized experience. Guests can also choose to extend their stay at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge.

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN VANCOUVER – GATEWAY TO THE WEST COAST

Your holistic West Coast Canadian adventure begins in the bustling city of Vancouver. Upon arrival, check into your centrally located hotel, providing the ideal base for exploration. Spend your evening immersing yourself in Vancouver’s vibrant culinary scene or discover iconic attractions like Gastown’s historic charm or the lively Robson Street.

DAY 2: VANCOUVER EXPLORATION & PREPARATION

Dedicate your day to exploring the diverse offerings of Vancouver at your leisure. DAY 3: JOURNEY TO BELLA COOLA VALLEY – WILDERNESS AWAITS

Today, your true wilderness immersion begins. Transfer to Vancouver Airport for your included flight to Bella Coola. Upon arrival at the Bella Coola Airport or BC Ferries terminal, you’ll be warmly met by a Tweedsmuir Park Lodge representative and enjoy a scenic ground transfer to the lodge. Check-in commences at 16:00, followed by a welcoming reception and a comprehensive property orientation. Settle into your private Timber Frame Chalet or Elevated Suite, nestled at the forest’s edge, before indulging in a gourmet dinner crafted from locally sourced ingredients at the main lodge.

DAY 4: RIVER DRIFTS & FOREST SECRETS

Your first full day at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge plunges you into the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. The morning brings a tranquil Half-day Scenic Atnarko River Drift. Gently float down the meandering Atnarko River, surrounded by lush green forests and beneath towering snow-capped peaks. Keep a keen eye out for abundant wildlife such as bald eagles, river otters, and various salmon species that call these pristine waters home. This serene journey offers tranquillity and stunning scenery. In the afternoon, embark on a Half-day Guided Interpretive Nature Walk. Your expert guide will unveil the secrets of the ancient temperate rainforest, sharing their extensive knowledge about the unique ecology and rich biodiversity of the Bella Coola Valley.

DAY 5: ANCIENT CEDARS & CULTURAL NARRATIVES

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with non-refundable balance due 95 days prior to travel.  The purchase of a Travel insurance is highly recommended due to strict cancellation policies

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Semi Private packages = Social Value. Our semi private packages offer the knowledge and expertise of experienced guides in a fun and social setting. The itinerary is set and groups feature no more than 6 participants per guide. Family and friend groups can be larger than 6 if they wish; however, we will not group more than 6 individuals from separate groups together. There are two-half-day or one full-day guided activities included on each full-day of the program. There are no activities on arrival or departure day. If a guest wants to substitute an activity from the sample itinerary for something else, they can do so, but the substituted activity is subject to additional fees on top of the package price. This can be done in advance or while at the lodge. Activity substitutions are not guaranteed unless they are made at least 14 days in advance
  • Private packages = Flexibility Exclusivity. Whether you’re looking for adventure or prefer to explore at your leisure, our private packages offer guests the exclusivity of a private guide as well as the ability to tailor their itinerary based on their personal interests and physical fitness level. If a guest wants to curate their own itinerary, this can be done in consultation with our team. All members of the group must agree to the same activity at the same scheduled time. If they wish to do different activities, additional guides can be hired to facilitate two separate activities at the same scheduled time. Activity substitutions are not guaranteed unless they are made at least 14 days in advance
  • A minimum stay of 2 nights is required at the lodge. Extra nights are also available on request
  • Infants and children are welcome during non-bear season i.e. June-August (families with children 11 and under need to book a Private package)
  • Travelling solo. Welcome! Single occupancy guests must purchase a Small Group package. Private packages are not available
