Itinerary/Overview

Our Nights Under Lights package operates in the peak of Churchills Aurora season. During the days enjoy dog sledding, snowshoe tours, going to the Parks Canada centre for a presentation on what life was like during the Hudson Bay Company era. Visiting Churchills historic and interesting sites such as Miss Piggy, the Polar Bear Jail and the Cape Merry battery which built by the Hudson Bay company to help protect the river and fort against invading French warships in the 1700's.

At night join us at our Award Winning Nights Under Lights location which gives you a dark sky, away from ambient light for optimal aurora photography and viewing. Our spot is tucked away in the trees, warm and spacious, allowing people a comfortable break from the cold inside our beautiful yurt when needed. Sit around the wood stove with some refreshments and snacks in comfort in between Aurora activity, listen to stories from local indigenous speakers and listen our for the Aurora Gong. We also have snowshoe trails for evening excursions through the boreal forest under the northern lights, and many foreground options for photos.

Day 1: Arrive in Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg and check into the Grand Winnipeg Hotel for the evening.

Day 2: Fly to Churchill
Your guide will pick you up, check you in to you hotel in Churchill and then take you on a Town and Area tour to get your bearings and learn a little about the history and culture of our northern town. In the evening join us at our award winning location for your first night of aurora!

Days 3 and 4: Explore Churchill
Sleep in after long nights then during the afternoons enjoy various day activities like dog sledding, snow shoeing, visits to museums etc and then spend your evenings with us enjoying the warmth of the fire and viewing and photographing the northern lights!

Day 5: Return to Winnipeg
Fly back to Winnipeg and wind down at the Grand Winnipeg Hotel for one more night of your holiday

Day 6: Departure
Head home at your leisure!
