DAY 1: MONTREAL

Welcome to Montreal, where your adventure begins! Upon arrival, you'll transfer to your downtown hotel, leaving you the rest of the day to discover the vibrant charm of this unique French-Canadian city at your leisure.

DAY 2: MONTREAL / MONT-LAURIER (approx. 75km)

After breakfast on your own, embark on an early morning transfer (around 08:00 AM) north into the Hautes-Laurentides region, where the scenery transforms into a winter wonderland, inviting you to embrace the joyful spirit of the season. A warm welcome awaits you at Pourvoirie Mekoos, a charming log cabin inn nestled on Lake Iroquois, where you'll settle into your chalet before meeting your snowmobile guide for a detailed briefing and an exhilarating test ride.

DAY 3: MONT-LAURIER / PARENT (approx. 160 km)

Prepare for an unforgettable day as you embark on a snowmobile raid, venturing northwest through snowy trails that lead to Lake Adonis for a satisfying lunch. Continue your journey southward, immersing yourself in an endless expanse of forests, lakes, and mountains, arriving at Pourvoirie Fer A Cheval just in time to witness a breathtaking sunset.

DAY 4: PARENT / SAINTE-ANNE-DU-LAC (approx. 170 km)

Today promises a truly memorable journey as you expertly cross the immense Mitchinamecus reservoir, a vast expanse of ice where a GPS becomes your essential guide through its many bays and points. Feel the unique thrill of safely gliding across this frozen landscape before stopping at the La Loutre dam and continuing to Sainte-Anne-du-Lac for lunch, then on to Club Notawissi, sweeping across the expansive Lake Tapanie.

DAY 5: SAINTE-ANNE-DU-LAC / MONT-LAURIER (approx. 170 km)

Departing Club Notawissi, your route back to Pourvoirie Mekoos takes you through the spectacular Hautes-Laurentides, with a must-see stop at the summit of Montagne du Diable. Pause your engine at the top to soak in the immaculate silence and breathtaking views of the Quebec winter, then continue to Windigo Falls before enjoying a delicious sugar shack lunch featuring local ingredients, including renowned maple syrup, before returning to your base.

DAY 6: MONT-LAURIER (approx. 170 km)

Embark on another thrilling snowmobile excursion, heading south before turning north to explore the immense Kiamika reservoir, an 18 km long and 5 km wide expanse of ice offering incredible driving sensations and stunning vistas. As ice and snow envelop nature in a pure spectacle, journey towards Chute-Saint-Philippe to observe the region's largest herd of deer, a truly emotional encounter, before enjoying lunch in the village and returning to Pourvoirie Mekoos.

DAY 7: DOG SLEDDING DAY

Today, step into the world of dog sledding! Head to the kennel and meet your musher and their enthusiastic pack of sled dogs, whose boundless energy and eagerness for the trail are truly captivating. Experience the unique thrill of guiding your own team or comfortably riding in the sled, enjoying a memorable forest lunch by a warm wood fire before returning to Pourvoirie Mekoos.

DAY 8: RETURN TO MONTREAL

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Age & Licensing Requirements:
    • Minimum age to drive a snowmobile: 18 years old (valid driver’s license required – car or 125cc motorcycle)
    • Minimum age to be a passenger: 11 years old (both feet must reach the footrests)
    • Snowmobile rental: A rental agreement must be signed upon arrival. A valid credit card in the driver’s name is required for the security deposit. Drivers must carry their license and rental agreement with them at all times
  • Accommodation & Group Logistics:
    • Room occupancy: Maximum of 2 people per room, triple and quadruple occupancy not available
    • Minimum group size: At least 2 snowmobiles are required for a solo departure
    • 1 professional snowmobile guide for a maximum of 8 snowmobiles
  • Equipment & Packing Guidelines:
    • Clothing: Avoid cotton; balaclava is mandatory (provided)
    • Luggage: A medium transport bag is provided per snowmobile. If two people share a snowmobile, they share one bag. Main luggage is stored at the starting point and retrieved at the end
  • Snowmobile Tour Details:
    • Snowmobiles: 4-stroke, eco-friendly, odorless, and smokeless
    • Tips: Suggested tip for snowmobile guides is $15 CAD per person, per day
    • Security deposit: $3,000 CAD (plus tax) per snowmobile, held via credit card imprint
  • Insurance & Deductible:
    • Deductible: Ranges from $2,500 to $3,500 CAD, depending on the provider. In case of damage, the deposit is used first. The client covers any additional amount up to the deductible. Damages beyond the deductible are covered by the rental company’s insurance
    • Travel insurance: Strongly recommended (cancellation, repatriation, medical, baggage, etc.)
  • Responsibilities & Program Flexibility:
    • Participants are expected to follow all local laws and snowmobile regulations
    • In case of early withdrawal from the snowmobile tour, repatriation fees may apply
    • Itinerary and accommodations may change due to weather, trail conditions, or operational needs
    • The guide’s decisions regarding safety and logistics are final
