From Mid-August to September you’ll have the chance to view the Aurora Borealis directly from your accommodations. This is a sample itinerary. The specific trails and order of activities may be adjusted based on weather conditions, guest preferences, and guide recommendations. The itinerary can be customized to include full-day hikes, an “Explore Kluane” sightseeing tour, additional activities, or extra days.
DAY 1: TRAVEL TO MOUNT LOGAN ECOLODGE
Pick up your rental car, providing flexibility for your journey to Kluane. Your journey culminates at the welcoming Mount Logan EcoLodge, nestled on the doorstep of Kluane's grandeur. Settle into comfortable accommodation and take a moment to soak in the tranquil surroundings.
As the day softens, gather for a delicious welcome dinner, featuring locally sourced ingredients prepared with care. This is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow adventurers and anticipate the days ahead.
DAY 2: DISCOVER KLUANE'S TRAILS
Begin your day with a revitalizing, locally-sourced breakfast at the lodge, fueling you for exploration.
Embark on an invigorating half-day guided hike into Kluane National Park. Expert guides will tailor the trek to your group's fitness level and interests, leading you through stunning landscapes and sharing insights into the park's unique ecology and history. A delicious trail lunch amidst nature's beauty is included.
Return to the lodge, where relaxation beckons. Unwind in the soothing warmth of the Finnish sauna, easing any muscles after your hike. Consider indulging in a massage to further enhance your rejuvenation (additional cost and available upon request).
Indulge in a gourmet three-course dinner at the lodge, a culinary highlight featuring regional flavours.
DAY 3: EXPLORING NEW HORIZONS
Enjoy another hearty and wholesome breakfast at the lodge, setting the stage for another day of discovery.
Venture out on a second captivating half-day guided hike, exploring a different facet of Kluane's diverse terrain. Your guide will lead you through varied landscapes, ensuring you experience the breadth of the park's natural wonders. A satisfying trail lunch will keep you energized.
Back at the lodge, take advantage of the relaxation facilities. Perhaps try a calming session in the yoga and meditation room. Later, savour a delightful appetizer platter and refreshing beverages as you recount the day's adventures.
Conclude your day with a last exquisite three-course gourmet dinner at the lodge, a testament to the region's bounty.
DAY 4: FAREWELL KLUANE
Enjoy a final, delicious breakfast at the lodge, filled with memories of your Kluane escape. Depart from Mount Logan EcoLodge, carrying the spirit of the Yukon with you. Make your way back to Whitehorse and drop off your rental car.
