DAY 1: GATEWAY TO THE NORTH

Your unforgettable journey begins with a relaxing overnight stay in Winnipeg, offering a perfect opportunity to unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead. If time permits, consider exploring some of Winnipeg's attractions like Forks National Historic Site, Assiniboine Park or the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

DAY 2: FLIGHT INTO THE WILDERNESS

An exciting day dawns early as a Gangler's North Seal River Lodge expediter greets you, guiding you to your exclusive charter flight. Soar above the vast Manitoba landscape, heading deep into the wilderness to Gangler's North Seal River Lodge, nestled on the pristine shores of Egenolf Lake. Upon arrival, the friendly staff will warmly welcome you to your cabin, followed by a delicious brunch and an insightful orientation about the area's rich history. In the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating tour atop the South Esker, offering breathtaking panoramic views before you enjoy the lodge's amenities. As evening approaches, savor a delightful dinner and a captivating presentation on the Aurora Borealis, with tips on how to best experience this magical phenomenon. Depending on sunset timings, thrilling wolf tours and calling sessions might also be available for a truly unique experience.

DAY 3-4: GANGLER’S NORTH SEAL RIVER LODGE

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a remarkable journey with an Indigenous guide, boating to Gull Island to witness a unique natural spectacle. Your adventures continue with a guided hiking tour on the mainland, followed by a true North Woods tradition: a freshly caught fish lunch, cooked over an open fire. In the afternoon, your boat will take you to Don's Bay, a prime location for moose sightings, and then further east to the North Seal River outlet, renowned for the vibrant game fish Arctic Grayling. For those feeling adventurous, try your hand at fishing for northern pike and lake trout. On Day 4, a float plane exploration of the Robertson Esker offers another unique perspective of this incredible landscape. Each evening, unwind and enjoy the lodge's amenities or partake in various outdoor activities. Today is yours to craft your perfect Sub-Arctic experience, with a variety of exciting options available. For an additional cost, you can embark on an exhilarating helicopter tour, soaring over 32 kilometers of the pristine North Seal River and its surrounding eskers, offering unparalleled aerial views. Alternatively, immerse yourself in world-class fishing, try a fly-casting lesson on the dock, or explore the area by boat or on land with a guide, seeking out bear, wolves, and moose. All trips are guided, ensuring a safe and enriching experience, and providing ample opportunities to witness the magnificent wildlife of this untouched region.

DAY 6: RETURN TO WINNIPEG

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge, carrying with you incredible memories of your wilderness adventure. You'll prepare for your charter flight back to Winnipeg International Airport. Upon your arrival, the Lodge’s expediter will be there to greet you and provide any assistance you may need, ensuring a smooth transition.

  • A $2000 per person non-refundable deposit is required, with the remaining non-refundable balance due 90 days prior to arrival

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The Wilderness Lodge accommodates a maximum of 26 guests per trip, and features a full-service bar and lounge area, complete with ping pong, a pool table, and a large outside deck and firepit
  • Private cabins accommodate 2-4 guests, and feature 1 modern bathroom per 2 guests, separate living rooms and bedrooms, 24-hour electricity, free wireless Internet, DVD players, propane heater, screened-in porches, and daily housekeeping service
  • Fishing gear is provided, but guests must replace any lost lures. A fishing license is required and can be purchased online
  • Trip cancellation/medical evacuation insurance is strongly encouraged. In addition, passengers should be aware that some medical insurance policies do not cover all expenses, including medical evacuation. The Lodge is in a remote location
