Itinerary/Overview

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HALIFAX

Arrive in Halifax and settle into your hotel in the heart of downtown. Spend the evening along the historic waterfront, where brick buildings, independent shops, and lively patios overlook one of the world’s largest natural harbours. Fishing boats, sailboats, and ferries move steadily across the water as the city transitions from working port to evening gathering place. Halifax blends layered history with contemporary culture, and your first night offers an easy introduction to Atlantic Canada’s welcoming spirit and strong regional cuisine.

Accommodation: Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites (or similar)

DAY 2: EXPLORING HALIFAX

Halifax rewards exploration on foot. Walk up to Citadel Hill for views over the harbour, visit the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, or explore the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to better understand the province’s seafaring history. The compact downtown core makes it easy to balance historic sites with cafés, galleries, and waterfront trails. By evening, the city feels relaxed and lived-in, with a food scene rooted in local seafood and seasonal ingredients.

Accommodation: Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites (or similar)

DAY 3: LUNENBURG & THE SOUTH SHORE

The route south traces Nova Scotia’s scenic coastline toward Mahone Bay and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg. Colourful wooden buildings line the harbourfront, and the town’s streets rise gently from the water, offering wide views across the Atlantic. Continue along the South Shore to White Point Beach Resort, where ocean air, sandy shoreline, and open coastal views set a slower pace for the next two nights.

Accommodation: White Point Beach Resort

DAY 4: WHITE POINT BEACH RESORT

A full day at White Point allows time to settle into the rhythm of the coast. Walk the beach, explore nearby Liverpool, or take a short drive to Kejimkujik National Park Seaside, where coastal trails lead across open heathland to sweeping ocean views. The landscape feels expansive and windswept, shaped by salt air and steady surf. Whether you choose active exploration or quiet relaxation, the day remains flexible and unhurried.

Accommodation: White Point Beach Resort

DAY 5: INTO THE ACADIAN FOREST

Today’s drive turns inland toward Nova Scotia’s interior and the Acadian forest. Trout Point Lodge sits within a protected wilderness area, surrounded by tall trees and clear rivers. The setting feels removed from coastal towns, offering a distinct change in atmosphere. Settle into your suite and enjoy the lodge’s seasonal cuisine, prepared with care and rooted in regional ingredients.

Meal: Dinner.
Accommodation: Trout Point Lodge

DAY 6: TROUT POINT LODGE

A full day at Trout Point Lodge allows you to experience the property at your own pace. Spend time on woodland trails, relax in the riverside hot tub or sauna, or simply enjoy the quiet setting. Evenings bring clear skies that reveal remarkable stargazing conditions. The combination of forest, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality creates a stay defined by immersion rather than activity.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Trout Point Lodge

DAY 7: ANNAPOLIS VALLEY & GRAND-PRÉ

Leaving the forest behind, the landscape opens into the Annapolis Valley along the Bay of Fundy. Stop at Grand-Pré, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Acadian settlers shaped broad marshlands into fertile farmland that still defines the valley today. The scenery feels expansive, with vineyards and fields stretching toward the tidal shoreline. Continue to Wolfville, a small university town known for its welcoming atmosphere and strong local food culture.

Meal: Breakfast.
Accommodation: Evangeline Hotel (or similar)

DAY 8: WOLFVILLE & THE BAY OF FUNDY

Wolfville provides a relaxed base for exploring the Annapolis Valley. Browse the seasonal farmers’ market, visit local vineyards, or take a coastal drive to appreciate the scale of the Bay of Fundy’s tides. The region’s culinary identity is closely tied to its landscape, with fertile farmland and tidal influence shaping what appears on local menus. The day remains flexible, allowing time to enjoy both scenery and small-town charm.

Accommodation: Evangeline Hotel (or similar)

DAY 9: DEPART HALIFAX

Return to Halifax Stanfield International Airport for your departure. As you travel back through the valley and toward the coast, the shifting landscapes of Nova Scotia come into focus once more, marking the end of a journey defined by variety, balance, and place
