This is a sample itinerary – the exact program is tailored to the preferences of the group and weather conditions

DAY 1: WELCOME TO ALGONQUIN PARK

Rendezvous at Algonquin Park. After an orientation, canoe lesson and lunch, paddle across the lake and into Algonquin Park. Along the way learn how to paddle and portage and stop for a swim in the clean fresh water. Set up camp on a scenic point and enjoy dinner by the campfire. Lying in your tent, fall asleep to the sound of the west wind whistling high above.

DAY 2: ALGONQUIN PARK

Begin with an early morning paddle in search of moose. Return for a tasty breakfast and then break camp to paddle deeper into Algonquin Park and explore the lakes and rivers. A shore lunch is served before paddling in search of beavers, great blue herons and moose. The final stop is at a beautiful lake where you have the afternoon to hike, swim, fish, or take a nap. Feast on another backcountry gourmet creation and bannock cooked over the fire. Take in the night sky and share stories and laughter around the campfire.

DAY 3: ALGONQUIN PARK DEPARTURE

The distinctive smell of fresh coffee and breakfast cooking will get you out of your sleeping bags. Savour this last day on the trail by taking your time to paddle back to the take out, stopping along the way for a large smorgasbord lunch.

  • Rates are based on double occupancy
  • This tour is subject to availability at the time of booking and accommodates up to 9 guests
  • Minimum age is 6 years old
  • The Algonquin 3-day Canoe trip is for people at any level of experience
  • June departures feature amazing opportunities for Moose wildlife viewing (not guaranteed)
  • It is recommended that you can be active at a walking pace for up to 4 hours at a time
  • There is an additional charge for specialty diets such as dairy free, vegan or gluten free
  • No electricity and no WIFI the campsites
  • Clients may be required to sign a waiver
  • A 25% deposit is required

  • Pre and Post accommodation in Toronto
  • 5 Days guided trips also available (Monday – Friday)
  • Round trip transfers from Toronto (3.5 hours) by van or coach shuttle. TRANSFERS include:
    • Bus departure from Yorkdale Subway in Toronto the day prior (Sundays & Thursdays) at 9am
    • Pick up by Voyageur Quest representative in South River and transfer to VQ base at Algonquin Park access # 1- arriving 2.45pm
    • BBQ dinner at Broken Paddle Patio
    • Overnight cabin accommodation at Voyageur Quest Algonquin canoe outpost
    • Breakfast the next day
    • 4pm departure from Algonquin on final day of adventure, arriving in downtown Toronto at approx. 9.30pm
