Discover Quebec’s Eastern Townships on a 5-day journey designed for those who value variety, comfort, and community. Just beyond Montreal, this region offers access to four unique ski resorts, each with its own character, from Mont-Orford’s natural grandeur to Bromont’s illuminated night trails. Beyond the slopes, the Townships invite you into their après-ski culture of cafés, microbreweries, and local artisans, complemented by renowned Nordic spas that make wellness a natural part of the experience.
This is a sample itinerary. The three-day lift passes may be used at any of the resorts in any order, or applied exclusively to a preferred resort.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MONTREAL – TRANSFER TO ORFORD
Arrive in Montreal and travel to the Eastern Townships, a region known for its bilingual heritage and warm village atmosphere. Settle into Espace 4 Saisons, a boutique lodge at the base of Mont-Orford. With ski-in/ski-out access, wellness facilities, and locally inspired dining, it provides a grounded base for the days ahead. Evening at leisure to relax, explore the lodge, or enjoy a casual meal that reflects the region’s culinary character.
DAY 2: SKI MONT-ORFORD – SCALE AND SCENERY
Spend the day at Mont-Orford, the largest ski area in the Townships. Explore terrain that ranges from wide groomed runs to challenging glades, all framed by the dramatic setting of Mont-Orford National Park. With its significant vertical drop, this mountain appeals to both advanced skiers and those who prefer steady, scenic descents. Return to your lodge to rest or visit a nearby Nordic spa, where outdoor thermal pools and saunas provide a restorative complement to the day’s skiing.
DAY 3: SKI OWL’S HEAD – SKI-TO-LAKE PANORAMAS
Travel to Owl’s Head, an independent mountain rising directly over Lake Memphremagog. The skiing here is approachable, making it ideal for families or those who prefer relaxed runs without sacrificing the reward of exceptional views. From the summit, take in rare ski-to-lake panoramas. The day offers a quieter, more personal experience, supported by a strong family-friendly reputation. In the evening, explore après-ski options, from a cosy café to a craft brewery where locals gather.
DAY 4: SKI SUTTON OR BROMONT – CHOOSE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Today offers a choice between two distinct ski experiences. Mont Sutton is celebrated for its extensive glade skiing and strong community spirit, where après-ski often means a local café or live music at the base. Bromont, by contrast, offers Canada’s largest illuminated ski terrain, extending your day well into the evening. With over 100 trails, it balances variety with family-friendly services. Return to Orford after your chosen adventure.
DAY 5: RETURN TO MONTREAL – CULTURAL STOP EN ROUTE
Depart the Eastern Townships for Montreal. Depending on timing, stop in one of the historic villages en route to explore main streets lined with artisan shops, bakeries, and microbreweries. Pick up regional products such as cider, cheese, or wine, tangible reminders of the Townships’ community-driven culture. Arrive in Montreal for your onward journey or departure
