Discover the beauty and solitude of Canada’s northern wilderness on this 3-day fly-in experience in the Northwest Territories. Set against the backdrop of pristine taiga forests, Yellow Dog Lodge sits on a strip of land between two northern lakes, offering plenty of opportunity for spectacular fishing, hiking and exploration. To top it off, the lodge is located under the Auroral Oval and makes for some pretty incredible Northern Lights viewing.
Whether you’re looking for challenging outdoor adventures or a more relaxed getaway in the quiet of the woods, this lodge will more than meet your needs.
Yellow Dog Lodge is located between beautiful Duncan and Graham Lakes, only a 20-minute floatplane flight northeast of Yellowknife. Opened in 1970 as a sportfishing lodge, it is now a multi-activity fly-in wilderness lodge specializing in spring and fall aurora viewing, summer sport fishing, canoeing, glamping, and outdoor adventure. The staff is recognized as delivering best-in-class service and, since 2011, Yellow Dog Lodge has been endorsed as a Canadian Signature Experience by Destination Canada.
Lodge facilities include aurora and nature guides, chef, hot tub, sauna, screened gazebo, nature trails, library, satellite TV, movies, all paddling including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and paddleboats. Yellow Dog Lodge also offers a fully licensed bar service.
