Lakeside Retreat in the Land of the Midnight Sun

DAY 1: JOURNEY TO THE LAKEFRONT RESORT

You’ll be picked up at the Whitehorse airport and transferred to the resort.

The resort is located within the traditional territory of the Carcross / Tagish First Nation, about an hour and 20 min south of Whitehorse, on the edge of a beautiful lake. This will be your home base to explore the rugged beauty and vastness of Yukon's northern landscape. Settle into your lakefront cabin, which has available WIFI.

In the evening, enjoy a chef-prepared 3-course meal. If you are visiting in mid August or later, the sky will get dark enough at night to see the Aurora Borealis (if conditions are right).

DAY 2-3: OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND WILDERNESS EXPLORATION

Wake up to the quiet of the wilderness. Your breakfast will be served in the restaurant of the main building. Enjoy a fresh selection of breakfast items, the perfect fuel for a day of exploration. Situated on the calm right arm of Tagish Lake, among the boreal forest, the lodge has plenty of scenic beauty to explore.

The resort generates its own electricity, with a modern system of solar cells, lithium batteries and diesel generators. The generators don't have to run for large parts of the year.

Hike the extensive trail system around the resort where fantastic views of Windy Arm and Tagish Lake await. Discover the wonders of the boreal forest or join a guided tour up and above the treeline. Rent a canoe or kayak and paddle the beautiful waterways. Mountain biking, fishing and swimming are all available as an add on, as are flight-seeing and boat-seeing tours.

After a day of activity, enjoy a cocktail in the lounge or linger over an afternoon coffee or tea as you sit by the lake. Dinner is a 3-course meal served in the restaurant.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE DAY

After a final hearty breakfast at the resort, the shuttle will take you back to Whitehorse for your flight home.
