Landsby Announced as Finalist for the 2025 Regenerative Climate Award
Statement from Jason Sarracini, Founder & CEO, Landsby
Toronto, ON — I’m proud to share that Landsby has been named a Finalist for the 2025 Regenerative Climate Award, a recognition that reflects our ongoing commitment to climate action and community-led travel across Canada. The Award highlights organizations that advance regenerative solutions and demonstrate measurable, long-term impact – values that sit at the core of our work – and we are honoured to be recognized in the company of other meaningful international initiatives.
The judging panel – composed of international leaders in sustainability, journalism, storytelling, hospitality, and design – will evaluate all finalists based on regenerative principles, measurable outcomes, innovation, and long-term contributions to people and planet.
Our team’s efforts continue to centre around meaningful partnerships that restore ecosystems and strengthen communities. This includes our collaboration with Canada’s Forest Trust, where Landsby invested in the creation of a Smart Forest in the endangered Acadian forest region of New Brunswick. Designed to capture carbon, enhance biodiversity, and provide lasting environmental and educational benefits, the forest will also be preserved and protected for 100+ years under the long-term stewardship of Canada’s Forest Trust.
You can follow our impact and ongoing climate contributions through our Smart Forest dashboard here: https://my.canadasforesttrust.ca/en/public/our-forest/CFT-WIPSSL
Much of this work is also shared through Northern Soul, our editorial platform dedicated to amplifying community voices – hosts, knowledge keepers, and local leaders who model stewardship and reciprocity. Their stories shape a deeper understanding of what regenerative travel can look like across Canada’s regions.
We’re honoured to be included among this year’s finalists and remain committed to helping shape a more regenerative future for Canadian travel.
