DAY 1: SETTING THE STAGE FOR AURORA

Your journey begins with your arrival at Yellowknife Airport. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and transferred to your downtown hotel, where you can check in and settle into your accommodations. Yellowknife is a walkable city, however taxi services are available. If your flight allows, take some time to explore the small downtown core, which boasts unique shops and a diverse array of restaurants offering cuisine from around the world. Your Winter clothing rental will be delivered directly to your hotel (Winter only).

In the evening, you'll embark on your first Aurora Viewing Tour at Aurora Village, a location set up for maximum comfort away from city lights. Enjoy the heated teepees and the on-site restaurant, which serves food, wine, and beer until midnight.

DAY 2-4: EXPLORING YELLOWKNIFE AND ITS FLAVOURS

Spend the day at leisure exploring Yellowknife further. You can choose to delve deeper into the city's offerings, whether you'd like to do some shopping, explore more of the city, or simply relax. You'll have free time to explore at your own pace. Be sure to try some of the cool local food options for which Yellowknife is known. Have a pint with the locals at the Woodyard Brewhouse, try arctic char sashimi at a local sushi spot or head to the fun and eclectic Bullocks Bistro.

As evening approaches, you'll once again head to Aurora Village with your guide for another night of Aurora viewing. at the Village. They say that those who visit for three nights in the winter, have a 95% chance of seeing the Northern Lights. While weather conditions and Aurora sightings can never be guaranteed, those are some pretty great odds!

DAY 5: FAREWELL TO THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

Today, you'll bid farewell to the North and begin your journey home. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some additional time to explore more of Yellowknife before heading to the airport.

  • Rates are based on double occupancy during Summer and Fall seasons
  • This tour is subject to availability at the time of booking
  • A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, which includes a non-refundable fee of $82.50 per person. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to arrival

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Package transfers are for scheduled Air Canada and WestJet flights arriving/departing 05:00-22:00. Transfers outside these hours or for other airlines may be available for an extra charge upon request and case-by-case basis within the same timeframe
  • The hotel shuttle operates from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM at scheduled times
  • Regular Aurora-viewing is 4.5 hours including 1 hour travel time. Hotel pick-up time differ with season
  • 1 Night Heated Seat & Winter Clothing Rental are available from November 20 to March 31 only
  • Rental clothing set consists of comfortable Winter Jacket that is tested in -60 degrees Celsius, Winter Pants, Winter Boots, Mitts, Facemask. For guest convenience, clothing will be delivered to pre-checked-in hotel rooms prior to arrival. Return arrangements will be made before departure, with the guide typically collecting the sets in the hotel lobby after the final aurora viewing, allowing guests time to change and bring them down
