Feast Your Eyes – Northern Lights in Autumn

Please note: this sample itinerary is based on a five day stay. If you have chosen a shorter duration, please disregard the additional days at the resort. You may chose from any of the activities for your duration of stay.

Day 1:

If you have chosen the fly option, day 1 will begin with arrival at your departure airport for a scenic flight to Whitehorse aboard Air North. If you’ve chosen land-only, please make your own way to Whitehorse to start this lodge experience.

You will be greeted at the Whitehorse airport by our local driver and if time allows (depending on your flight arrival), you will be treated to a short tour of the city. You’ll then make your way to the beautiful lakefront lodge, where you will spend the next four nights. As you settle into your room, you’ll be able to admire the breathtaking views of Marsh Lake, surrounded by high mountains and immense forests. This is the perfect opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. After taking in the sights, enjoy a delicious gourmet three-course dinner served family style in the dining room overlooking the lake. End the night by soaking in the outdoor hot tub while admiring the Northern Lights.

Day 2:

Wake up to a continental breakfast served buffet-style at the lodge. Take a walk to see the local wildlife or go on a hike in the surrounding forests. Return to the lodge for a scrumptious lunch before spending the afternoon by the lake or partaking in some of the activities offered at the lodge.

In the evening, enjoy another gourmet three-course dinner in the dining room while taking in the gorgeous scenery. End the night by watching the Northern Lights from your room or the outdoor hot tub.

Day 3:

After breakfast, you can explore more of the surroundings or book a tour of the Southern Lakes region or take a trip to Whitehorse to explore the city’s attractions, such as museums, galleries, and shops (extra costs apply). Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful fall colours.

In the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner made with fresh local ingredients that reflect the pillars of Yukon cuisine. End the night by soaking in the hot tub or watching the Northern Lights before retiring for the night.

Day 4:

Today after breakfast, indulge in an optional (extra costs apply) tour to discover the Yukon Wildlife Preserve & Eclipse Nordic Spa. Depart from the lodge in the mid-morning and return before dinner, immersing yourself in the breathtaking views of Canada’s boreal forest on the way to your destination. You will also receive a packed lunch to enjoy at your leisure.

Alternatively, relax at the lodge, unwind in the outdoor hot tub, explore the lake surroundings, or enjoy a good read in the upstairs great room. The lodge offers free rentals of mountain bikes, canoes and kayaks to aid your exploration.

Dinner will be served at 7 pm, with another opportunity to witness the magical northern lights.

Day 5:

Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before checking out. You will then be transferred back to the airport for your departure. If your arrival time did not allow for a quick city tour of Whitehorse upon arrival, your driver will try to schedule it on departure prior to dropping you off at the airport.
