DAY 1: WINNIPEG ARRIVAL

Upon arrival in Winnipeg, settle into the provided hotel at your leisure, with the rest of the day free to explore the vibrant city at your own pace, preparing for the incredible adventure ahead.

DAY 2: CHURCHILL BOUND & NORTHERN LIGHTS IMMERSION

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast before checking out of your Winnipeg hotel. A group transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Churchill, where you'll check into the charming Lazy Bear Lodge. Savor locally-inspired meals from the Lazy Bear Café and relax with 'Canada's Best Cup of Coffee' by the Scandinavian stone fireplace. The evening features an illuminating Northern Lights talk by Dr. Mark Miesch, a Research Scientist at CIRES/University of Colorado. This is followed by a captivating Northern Lights viewing and photo session, along with a space weather update from Dr. Miesch and Dr. Gibson.

DAY 3: AERIAL VIEWS, SOLAR SCIENCE, AND DOG MUSHING

Embark on an exhilarating one-hour helicopter tour, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Arctic landscape. The afternoon brings a fascinating solar science talk with Dr. Mark Miesch and Dr. Sarah Gibson, followed by another insightful space weather update. Feel an adrenaline rush as you ride in a dog cart pulled by Huskies through the Northern Boreal Forest, hearing authentic Indigenous stories and wisdom from a Métis dog musher. The day culminates in another enchanting Northern Lights viewing.

DAY 4: SHIPWRECK TREK, ARCTIC CRAWLER, AND INDIGENOUS STORIES

Fuel up before a compelling trek along the Hudson Bay coast to the historic Ithaca shipwreck, where a polar bear sighting is always a possibility. The adventure continues as you hop aboard an Arctic Crawler™ for unforgettable views of the unique sub-Arctic tundra and Hudson Bay coastline, with chances to spot Polar bear, Moose, Caribou, Fox, Ptarmigan, and Arctic Hare. As evening approaches, gather around a warm bonfire to hear local Indigenous beliefs about the northern lights and captivating storytelling, enjoying hot chocolate and traditional Bannock.

DAY 5: CHURCHILL TO WINNIPEG

The day begins with a thought-provoking Indigenous talk on northern lights beliefs, offering a deeper cultural perspective of this celestial phenomenon. After checking out from Lazy Bear Lodge, board your flight back to Winnipeg, where you'll settle into your hotel for the night, carrying memories of an extraordinary Arctic experience.
